HIT THE HATCH ON THE NORTH PLATTE
North Platte Trouters is now offering the "HIT THE HATCH" opportunity!
THE SALMONFLY HATCH: occurring at the peak of water flows in 6 Mile Canyon of the North Platte River; during the last week of May through the begining of June. This year North Platte Trouters (NPT) is scheduling a couple of 2 day, 1 night floats in the canyon; May 27, 28 and June 3, 4. Single day floats are certainly available during midweek. The June 3, 4 trip already has 1 filled boat and we would enjoy filling 1 more boat and 2 seats.
North Platte Trouters overnight trips utilize a dedicated gear raft, sent ahead to prepare lunch and onward to our overnight location where you arrive ready to enjoy camp set up, appetizers and cold beer or a glass of wine wating for you. Oftentimes, depending on conditions, we can have the drift boats dropped in on the second day float and safely fish class 2-3 water in a hard shell instead of rubber.
THE GREEN DRAKE HATCH: occurring on the Encampment River usually between the last week of June through the first week of July, depending on river flows. This is a 3/4 day float in rafts that often times, with an additional shuttle fee, can be re-floated a second time. This is the best dry fly fishing of the year to wild rainbows and browns that will test your abilities against these huge fish.
